60 trains rerouted on Delhi-Mumbai track, 34 trains canceled including Shatabdi-Vande Bharat; Impact of the Mathura train accident

The Delhi-Mumbai rail route has been damaged after a bogie of a goods train derailed from the railway track in Mathura. More than 100 trains passing through here have been affected. 34 trains have been cancelled. At the same time, many trains are being run through diverted routes. Railways have said that the railway track will be repaired in two days. There are four railway lines on the Delhi-Mumbai railway route. But, 26 coaches of the goods train were badly damaged due to derailment on 3 routes on Wednesday.

Over 100 trains running on the Delhi-Mumbai railway route were affected after 26 coaches derailed between Vrindavan Road station and Azai on Wednesday. According to the Railways, 34 trains had to be canceled and over 60 were run on diverted routes. Eight trains have been partially cancelled.

Intermittent trains on the same line

On the Delhi-Mumbai railway route, trains are being withdrawn one after another from the fourth downline. Due to the operation of only one line, many other big trains including Rajdhani have been delayed from Agra to Mathura for a long time. After the route of one train is cleared, another train is being moved forward. Railway officials have said, ‘The goods train was going on the main down line at the time of the accident. After the accident, a major part of the main upline and main downline has been badly damaged. Work is being done to remove crooked tracks and lay new tracks.

1820 tons of coal was obtained from the soil

It is believed that the work of Up Mainline and Down Mainline may take a lot of time to complete. 1820 tonnes of coal loaded in the freight wagon overturned at the spot and got mixed up in the soil. This coal was brought in a freight train from Surajpur Road of Chhattisgarh Bilaspur Railway Division. It was to be delivered to the Suratgarh Thermal Power Plant in Rajasthan. According to a railway official, it will take two more days to completely clear the track from the incident site.

The routes of these trains have been changed

Several trains will be operated by the Railways through diverted routes. 12652 Nizamuddin-Madurai, 12138 Ferozepur-Chhatrapati Shivaji Express, 12264 Nizamuddin-Pune, 12650 Nizamuddin-Yeswantpur Express, 18478 Yoga Nagri Rishikesh-Puri Express, 11450 D 16 New Delhi-Chennai, 12908 Nizamuddin- Bandra, 12926 Amritsar-Mumbai Central, 12952 New Delhi-Mumbai Central, 22182 Nizamuddin-Jabalpur have run on altered routes.
