The ruthless face of the police has come to light in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur district. A young man who came to the police station to record a statement with an advocate was brutally beaten by a woman sub-inspector and two women constables. The women policemen brutally beat the youth. First he kicked and punched, then hit him with a stick and made him bleed. The young man’s nose began to bleed. The youth fell unconscious after being beaten by the policemen. After the beating, the youth alleged that the police were pressurizing him to take revenge for his statement.
In fact, Yusuf Khan was called to Gohalpur police station in Jabalpur on Wednesday afternoon to record his statement in a case. There was an incident of rape with him. Yusuf alleged that woman Sub Inspector (SI) Madhuri Wasnik took him to a room in the police station and beat him up mercilessly. Two women constables also supported in this fight.
Allegation of alteration of statement
According to Yusuf, he was kicked, punched and beaten with sticks. Due to which he became unconscious. During the incident, blood started flowing from his nose and mouth. The police took him to the Victoria Hospital for treatment in a critical condition, after which blank papers were also signed. Yusuf accused the police of forcing him to change his statement after the attack.
The lawyers demanded an investigation
After the incident, a large number of lawyers gathered at Gohalpur police station and demanded proper investigation and action from the station in-charge. District Bar Association president Manish Mishra and other lawyers demanded an investigation into the CCTV footage installed at the police station so that the truth could come out. Manish Mishra says that it is doubtful whether such an incident would happen inside a police station.
