A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Here a retired soldier shot and killed his own son in a drunken state. The only mistake this 14-year-old son made was stopping his father who was causing a drunken ruckus outside the house. He was told, ‘You go in, people are watching the show here’. After this the accused entered the house running and after two minutes came out with a pistol. After this, he abused his son and shot him in the chest.
The incident took place in Rajpur Chungi of Agra Sadar Police Station area on Wednesday evening. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and registered a case against the accused and conducted the postmortem of the son. After the preliminary investigation of the case, the police said that Dheeraj Gurjar, a resident of Rajpur’s Ukhra, is retired from the army. He used to drink alcohol every day and fight with his family members. Even on Wednesday morning, he drank alcohol and quarreled with his wife. People intervened a couple of times, but the accused remained drunk all day.
The son interrupted when there was a commotion outside
In the evening he once again stood outside his house and started swearing. Meanwhile son Vivek who was studying in ninth standard came. Seeing father’s condition, he said that you are drunk, go home and rest. Here local people are watching the show. Patience was annoyed by this of the son and he ran inside the house and came out with a pistol within two minutes. He first abused the son and shot him in the chest.

The family members took him to the hospital
As soon as the bullet rang out, Vivek fell on the ground and started biting in pain. Accused’s wife Sudha and younger son Nitin rushed inside the house after hearing the sound of fire. Vivek was seen lying on the ground in agony, while the accused was running away with a pistol in his hand. The family members rushed Vivek to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. After receiving information from the hospital itself, the police reached there, took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem.

In this case, the police have registered a case under sections of murder against retired soldier Dhiraj. During police interrogation, neighbors said that Dhiraj was happiest when Vivek was born. He distributed sweets in the whole village with his own hands. He had been under the influence of alcohol for some time and due to this intoxication he had destroyed his own house. ACP Sadar Dr. Sukanya Sharma said that the accused Dheeraj often used to fight with his family members in front of local people. His son Vivek did not like this. That is why he was often a hindrance.
