Postponement of UP Digital Presence

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has suspended the digital attendance system for two months. Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh has issued an order in this regard. The government has decided that an expert committee will be formed which will discuss the issues of the teachers in the next two months.

A meeting of teachers’ unions was held on Tuesday with the Chief Secretary of UP. Principal Secretary Basic Education Shanmugam, DG School Education Kanchan Verma were also present in it. Meanwhile, besides Sulochana Maurya, president of the Women’s Teachers’ Union, Dinesh Sharma of the Primary Teachers’ Union, Junior Teachers’ Union and several teacher leaders of the Teachers’ Unions were present.

In the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed to postpone the digital presence for the time being and to form a committee consisting of departmental officials and teachers’ union officials to take a decision on it.
