Suspected terrorist Faizan, arrested from Khandwa by the Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), has made a major revelation during interrogation. He said that he wants to avenge the death of 8 terrorists from SIMI who were killed in the encounter after the Bhopal jail break. Faizan, a suspected militant of the banned terrorist outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM), was also providing financial support to the families of terrorists killed in the encounter.

Madhya Pradesh ATS has remanded Faizan for 5 days. His inquiry is on. He has also made many shocking revelations. Faizan said that he also went to Pathankot, Bhatkal village of Yasin Bhatkal. He also intended to go to Pulwama, but due to tight security, he returned from Jammu itself. The ATS raided Khandwa on Thursday and arrested Faizan.

He was arrested from Kanjar Mohalla

Suspected terrorist Faizan was arrested on June 4 from Kanjar Mohalla in Khandwan, a SIMI stronghold. During the raid, the ATS found SIMI organization membership forms from Faizan’s possession. Apart from this, literature of several terrorist organizations, 4 mobile phones, 1 pistol and 5 live cartridges have also been found.

Faizan wanted to be like terrorist Abu Faisal

According to IG Dr Ashish, terrorist Faizan was planning a lone wolf attack. His intentions were very dangerous. His target was the security forces personnel. Faizan wanted to prove himself a great mujahid by making such attacks. He also made jihadi posts on internet media. During remand, Faizan said that he wanted to be like terrorist Abu Faisal.

Who was the terrorist of Simi killed in the encounter?

On the night between October 30-31, 2016, eight SIMI terrorists lodged in Bhopal Central Jail escaped by slitting the throat of a head constable. An alert has been issued across the state following this incident. On the morning of October 31, the police surrounded him on the Acharpura-Intkhedi hills, 10 kilometers from the jail. Teams of Bhopal Local Police, CTG and STF together killed all the eight terrorists in the encounter. The slain terrorists include Mujeeb Sheikh, Abdul Majeed, Khalid, Aqeel Khilchi, Zakir, Salik alias Sallu, Mehboob Guddu and Amjad.
