In such a situation, people from Hindu organizations came in favor of the woman and soon people took to the streets and started protesting. Seeing the matter gathering momentum, the police swung into action and quickly registered a case against the accused and reassured the public by assuring them to arrest them as soon as possible. The incident took place in Basmat of Hingoli.

The police are investigating the matter. According to the police, the victim belongs to the Hindu community and had come to buy vegetables in the market on Sunday evening. In the meantime, Abdul Majeed and Abdul Usman, youths from a certain community, molested her. After the incident, the victim came to her house and then the police reached with her family members. At that time, instead of registering a crime against the accused, the police returned with the assurance of action. An uproar started in the police station on this issue.

As soon as the information was received, people from Hindu organizations also reached the spot. Meanwhile, it was demanded that the accused be immediately registered and arrested. Even after this, people came out on the road as no action was taken by the police. At this time, hundreds of people from the Hindu organization along with the neighbors of the victim reached there. Some saints also participated in this demonstration. People started raising slogans against the police and the administration outside the police station.

Seeing the worsening situation, the police registered a case and took the accused into custody. After this, people calmed down and returned home peacefully. According to Additional SP Archana Patil, CCTV camera footage installed around the incident spot is also being monitored to investigate the matter.
