Tiger terror in Lakhimpur
Despite millions of efforts, the terror of tigers in Lakhimpur Kheri of Uttar Pradesh is not ending. Another farmer has been killed by a man-eating tiger in Kheri. The tiger, which has become synonymous with terror, dragged a villager again after 12 days. The forest department teams gave chase with sticks and another fatal attack ensued. Villagers are losing their lives everyday due to negligence of forest department.
A tiger dragged away a farmer who went to his farm near Imalia village in Hyderabad police station area. His mutilated body was found in a sugarcane field. A farmer’s mobile phone was also found lying nearby.
The farmer went from home to the field
Farmer Shakir, a resident of village Muda Assi in Hyderabad police station area, went to the farm from home on Wednesday. A tiger already waiting here dragged them into the bushes and prepared their meal. Police and forest department have been informed about the incident. Forest department officials reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Villagers are being advised not to go to fields. Also children and elderly in nearby places are being asked to stay at home completely. Villagers cannot step out of their homes for fear of tigers.
There was an attack 12 days ago
12 days ago, a man-eating tiger had bitten Amarish, a farmer of Umalia village, in a similar manner. Man-eating tigers have killed many people before. The tiger was roaming freely in the area and forest department teams were combing with the help of sticks. They also don’t have full resources, so they are facing difficulty in dealing with man-eating tigers like this. After attacking Amrish, a farmer from Umalia, the tiger roamed around the village in a radius of 5 km. To capture the tiger, the forest department had installed 24 cameras and six cages in which the image of the tiger was being captured but it was not entering the cage. Now the villagers are angry about the daily deaths due to tiger attacks. He has warned the officials of the forest department that if this tiger is not caught, they will go to the Chief Minister’s residence and protest.
