People whose houses are near any tourist spot in the state can earn by providing facilities like hotels for tourists. The state government is creating a source of relief for the people through the Chief Minister’s Home Stay/Bed and Breakfast Incentive Scheme. Ministry of Tourism has set some conditions for this.

Home stay facility will be available for tourists

Luxury hotels, budget hotels, guest houses, inns are available for tourists in Bihar. But outside the urban area they do not get this facility. The state tourism ministry says that Bihar’s rural and eco-tourism is currently attracting tourists. Tourists face difficulty in staying in these areas due to lack of hotels. Giving information, the Ministry said that Home Stay, Bed and Breakfast Incentive Scheme 2024 has been implemented to facilitate tourists to stay near tourist destinations.

The Ministry of Tourism says that the Chief Minister’s Home Stay/Bed and Breakfast Incentive Scheme has been launched to acquaint people with the culture, food and traditions of Bihar. Under this people will be able to use their house as a homestay. The scheme will be implemented at identified tourist destinations across the state. But, this will not apply to resorts, hotels, guest houses, boarding lodging houses.

According to the information provided by the Ministry, the residential premises where the landlord or promoter stays will be called Homestay and if the caretaker operator stays in the residential premises, it will be called Bed and Breakfast. It was said that the scheme will be implemented within a radius of 5 km from tourist spots in urban areas and 10 km in rural areas. Landlords or promoters will be eligible for this.

To avail the benefit of this scheme, the house must have one or maximum 6 rooms, minimum 2 beds and maximum 12 beds. Rooms should be clean and well-lit and have toilet and toilet facilities.
