Water scarcity in Delhi has now turned into politics. BJP and Aam Aadmi Party are at loggerheads over the water issue. AAP MP Sanjay Singh alleged that there was a conspiracy to create water shortage in Delhi. The hunger strike had to be announced due to the poor health of Atishi, the water minister of the Delhi government. AAP MP Sanjay Singh has alleged conspiracy in the whole matter. Sanjay Singh said that he will write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the demand for water in Delhi.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that Atishi’s indefinite fast is being called off. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party will vigorously raise the Delhi water issue in the Parliament along with the opposition parties. He raised the question that BJP people should give some science on how to make water. How will production happen when there is no water? He said that people of Delhi are winning seven MPs three times, do they have no responsibility?

Atishi’s demand was ignored

AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that the weather has improved, it has rained, so the water has increased by 10 MGD, hopefully the situation will improve. He also said that Delhi Water Minister Atishi has been on a fast for five days, his demand was to provide water to 28 lakh people of Delhi – but his demand was ignored.

He said that Atishi fasted for 623 MGD of water as 100 MGD of water was continuously lacking. Atishi asked the Haryana government, the Delhi LG and Prime Minister Modi for Delhi’s rightful water, but Atishi’s plea went unheeded and the people of Delhi were left to their fate.

Atishi’s sugar level dropped

Sanjay Singh said that Atishi’s blood sugar level was found to be 36. His health had deteriorated last night. Atishi’s blood samples were tested at LNJP Hospital and Apollo Hospital. Atishi skipped meals and went on a fast, doctors advised her to break the fast. But no one listened to him. Later, the doctors said that he has to be admitted to the hospital or Atishi may die.

The AAP MP said party leaders talked among themselves during the night and Atishi was admitted to the ICU of LNJP Hospital at 3.30 pm. Atishi is still admitted in the ICU. He said he prays to God that he recovers soon.

Water is given according to the population of Delhi

AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that Delhi’s water quota was fixed at 1005 MGD in 1994. Today Delhi’s population is over 3 crore, yet Delhi’s water quota is 1005 MGD. But this water is also being cut.
