Soumitra has said in Parliament that 5 to 10 thousand Rohingyas are coming to Bengal every day. This is a threat to the country. He says that the situation of Hindus in Bengal was similar to that of Kashmir in 1990.
A few days ago, BJP MP from Godda Nishikant Dubey also raised the issue of changing demography in the House. The Chief Minister of Assam also recently said that the Muslim population is increasing in Assam. If this continues, one day Assam will also become a Muslim majority state, but questions are being raised whether the claims being made about Bengal are true or just political.
It is claimed that 5 to 10 thousand Rohingyas are coming to Bengal every day
Soumitra Khan said that 5000 to 10000 Rohingyas are coming to West Bengal every day. After coming here, they are supplied all over India. This is a threat to the country. The Chief Minister of West Bengal will destroy the whole of India. Ministers of Bengal are saying that all Hindus are infidels, are we enough? Those people say that if we throw them all out, where will we Hindus go? Remember what happened in Kashmir in 1990, the same is going to happen in West Bengal today.
Why Soumitra Khan made such a statement is also linked to Mamata Banerjee’s statement. Mamata said I can’t say anything about Bangladesh, it is a national matter. The Government of India will say about this, but I can definitely say that if any victim knocks on Bengal’s door, we will definitely help.
The Chief Minister of Assam has also expressed concern
The Chief Minister of Bengal is opposing the CAA-NRC and talking about helping the dependents of Bangladesh, but the Chief Minister of Assam is worried about the growing Muslim population in his state. He says that the Muslim population in Assam has increased to 40 percent. In 1951 it was 12 percent. We have lost one district after another. For me this issue is not political, for me it is a matter of life and death.
How many Rohingya Muslims are there in India?
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, 40 thousand Rohingya Muslims live illegally in various states of India. If we talk about Bengal, the total population of the state is around 9 crore 12 lakh. In this the population of Hindus is about 6 crore 4 lakh. This means that 60.53 percent of the total population are Hindus. When we talk about Muslims, their number is 2 crore 40 lakh. Means their contribution to the total population is 26.01 percent.
Three districts of Bengal have a Muslim majority
Three districts in Bengal are considered Muslim majority. Murshidabad is number one in this. Malda in second place and Murshidabad in third place have a Muslim population of 4.7 lakh while Hindus are around 2.3 lakh. Malda has 20 lakh Muslims and about 19 lakh Hindus. North Dinajpur has 15 lakh Muslims while 14 lakh Hindus.
