Akali Dal meeting

After the crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, the leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal are in turmoil. Shiromani Akali Dal today reflected on its party’s defeat in Punjab’s Jalandhar and raised its voice against party president Sukhbir Singh Badal and several senior leaders. Many senior leaders of Akali Dal were present in this meeting. On the other hand, an important meeting of the Akali Dal under the leadership of Sukhbir Singh Badal was also held in Chandigarh in which anger was vented on the BJP.

Many leaders including former MP Prem Singh Chandumajra, Sikandar Singh Maluka, Bibi Jagir Kaur attended the Jalandhar meeting and demanded the resignation of Sukhbir Badal. Chandumajra said that they should show the spirit of sacrifice. Sikandar Singh Maluka said that when this situation has arisen in the party from 2017 to 2024, it should automatically step down.

Akali Dal will save Yatra-Chandumajara

Premsingh Chandumajra also said that there was a serious discussion on why the Akali Dal has become so weak today? Why did we come from the throne to the floor today? Today, a change is necessary to bring the party back to its old foundations. He said – On July 1, all of us Akali leaders will bow down to Shri Akal Takht Sahib. We will start the Shiromani Akali Dal Bachao movement from there from July 1. Senior leaders of Akali Dal will participate in this yatra.

Chandumajra also said- I appeal to the party president Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal not to ignore the sentiments of the workers, but understand them. The party will take a decision after voting. Let us tell you that a few days ago there was a demand to replace party president Sukhbir Singh Badal. Now this matter has gained momentum again.

BJP has weakened Akali-Badal

In the Lok Sabha elections, the Akali Dal had to be satisfied with only one seat. Because of this, there is a lot of dissatisfaction in the party. In the Chandigarh meeting, President Sukhbir Singh Badal accused the BJP of creating a conspiracy in the entire matter. He said that the decision not to form an alliance with the BJP in the elections was the right one.

At the same time, in this Akali Dal meeting, the district presidents of the party have alleged that the government is conspiring to make the sect and Punjab leaderless. The leaders said that the BJP and its agencies were behind the efforts to weaken or break the Shiromani Akali Dal.
