‘…will cut and throw’, brags barge into ward councillor’s shop, points pistol at temple and threatens shopkeeper

A case of bullying of a ward councilor has come to light in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. A shopkeeper entered a shop and beat up the shopkeeper and threatened to kill him by pointing a pistol at the temple. Meanwhile, the aggrieved shopkeeper held the councilor’s leg and begged for his life. The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV camera installed in the shop. Now the victim’s brother has given the same CCTV footage to the police while filing a complaint in the Sadar police station.

Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case and started investigation. Jitendra Kumar, brother of the victim shopkeeper, in a complaint to the police, said that his brother Shabham owns a hardware shop called SK Traders in Gobarsahi. On the day of Vishwakarma Puja, his brother was cleaning the shop. Meanwhile, ward number 10 councilor Abhimanyu Chauhan entered the shop with his colleagues. He beat up Shubham and threatened to close the shop and run away.

Not only this, the accused pointed a pistol at his brother’s temple and warned him not to compete. Said that if he did so he would cut it off and throw it away. Meanwhile, his brother kept holding the feet of the accused and begging for his life. Jitendra said that when he came to know about the matter, he reached the spot and collected the CCTV footage and lodged a complaint with the police. In his complaint, he has filed a complaint against 20 to 25 people including accused Abhimanyu Chauhan and his brother Dilip Chauhan.

According to Sadar Police Station Superintendent Asmit Kumar, an investigation into the case has been initiated based on the complaint and CCTV footage. According to the police, the accused also runs a hardware shop in the name of Chauhan Traders. It is being said that ever since Shubham opened his shop, the number of customers at the shop of the accused has decreased. To take revenge for this, the accused has threatened the accused.
