Hemant Soren was released from Birsa Munda Jail on Friday after being granted bail by the State High Court in a money laundering case. The court said that prima facie he is not guilty and there is no possibility that the bail applicant has committed any crime. The JMM leader was arrested on January 31 by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the investigation into a money laundering case related to the illegal possession of 8.36 acres of land.

Plan to hold assembly elections first

Soren alleged that the BJP has captured all the constitutional institutions, but the people have taught them a lesson in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. Hemant Soren said that he has come to know that they are planning to hold assembly elections early. They challenge to hold elections whenever they want, but they are just rubber stamps.

Soren made these allegations against the Centre

Soren claimed that the pace of progress in Jharkhand has been deliberately slowed down in the last five months because the BJP is scared of the popularity of the JMM-led coalition, which has taken welfare measures for tribals, the poor and the underprivileged. He alleged that the BJP has the skills to destroy the social fabric of India. It has divided people on the basis of caste, creed, religion and rich-poor.
