Salary of two lakh 45 thousand employees has been withheld in Uttar Pradesh. Two days ago the state government announced the salary of all IAS, IPS, PCS and PPS officers in government service. Along with this, the salary of all the employees of the state was also to be released, but on the order of Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, the salary of only 6 lakh 2 thousand 75 employees was released. The salary of the remaining 2 lakh 45 thousand employees was stopped. The rationale behind this is that these employees have not disclosed their assets despite repeated requests.

All these employees had to declare their assets on the HR portal by 31st August. A total of 8 lakh 46 thousand 640 employees are in government service in Uttar Pradesh. Recently, the state government ordered all officials and employees to declare their assets. The last date for this was fixed on 31st August. All employees were repeatedly warned about this. However, apart from all IAS and PCS officers, only 6 lakh 2 thousand 75 employees declared their movable and immovable assets details.

A government order was issued on 17th August

The remaining 2 lakh 45 thousand employees have not declared their assets. Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh had already made it clear that no one would be exempted. In such a situation, when the state government released the salaries of the employees on September 1, it deleted the names of those employees who did not provide property details. According to a report by the Uttar Pradesh government, so far only 71 percent of employees have disclosed their assets. Let us tell you that the Chief Secretary issued a government order on August 17. In which he warned that employees who do not provide details of assets by August 31 will have their salaries stopped.
