Ranbir said that he prepared his resume and waited outside Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office, thinking that the director might not recognize him. But after looking at his resume, the director recognized him and when they met, the first thing Sanjay Leela Bhansali said to him was, “I want to do a film with you.”

The failure of ‘Savariya’

Ranbir said that early in his career he worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali as his assistant. The director’s short-tempered demeanor taught him to work 13-14 hour daily shifts and strengthened him.
