After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, efforts have started to form the government in Delhi. Since BJP did not get a majority this year, they will have to form the government with other NDA constituents. TDP and JDU have emerged as two big parties in the NDA. Therefore, they should be given the post of cabinet minister. Meanwhile, in Bihar, LJP president Chirag Paswan and JDU chief Nitish Kumar have claimed the Railway Ministry. A fierce tug-of-war has started between the two over this ministerial post. According to sources, both Nitish Kumar and Chirag Paswan are interested in the Railway Ministry. Senior Patna journalist Kanhaiya Bhelhari said that the two things that attract politicians to the railways are jobs and work.

Senior journalist Kaushalendra says that the railways is getting so much connected with the people every day that the leaders of Bihar feel that they can connect with the people in a better way through this medium.

Sundhashu Mani, who designed the Vande Bharat train, claims that the Prime Minister has increased the railway budget to Rs 2.5 lakh crore in recent times. Therefore, these leaders will try to have a large network of infrastructure.

Nitish’s claim on Railways!

Nitish Kumar was also the Railway Minister during the reign of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the country. Now he is again seeking the post of Railway Minister in the NDA government. Nitish Kumar’s party is in third place in the NDA alliance. Therefore, it seems that BJP will not do anything to upset him.

Chirag Paswan also makes claims against Railways

Late leader Ram Vilas Paswan has also been the Railway Minister. When he was the Railway Minister, he created a railway zone in Hajipur, Bihar. He became very popular in Bihar due to his work for the railways. Now Chirag Paswan wants to carry forward his father’s legacy. That is why he is also staking his claim on the railways.

After the independence of Bihar, he was the Railway Minister 8 times

Since the independence of the country, Bihar has got the post of Railway Minister eight times. Babu Jagjivan Ram (1962), Ram Subhag Singh (1969), Lalit Narayan Mishra (1973), Kedar Pandey (1982), George Fernandes (1989), Ram Vilas Paswan (1996), Nitish Kumar (1998) and 2001 (twice) and Lalu Prasad Yadav (2004).

Senior journalist Kanhaiya Bhelhari says that during the UPA regime, there was a dispute between Lalu Prasad Yadav and Ram Vilas Paswan over taking the Railway Ministry. But Lalu Yadav was successful in getting the ministry.

Will BJP resign from the post of Railway Minister?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has put a lot of emphasis on infrastructure in the country. He has also increased the railway budget. Therefore, on questions related to railway infrastructure, Sudhanshu Mani says that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a lot of speed to railway projects. Be it Vande Bharat Train or Bullet Train Project. The Prime Minister can definitely try to keep the Railway Ministry with himself.
