Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal
Delhi politics has heated up ever since Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced his resignation. While addressing the workers at the party office on Sunday, he said that he will resign from the post of Delhi CM in the next two days. Since then, a round of speculations and questions have started. Who will be the next Chief Minister of Delhi? Why didn’t he resign immediately, why did it take him two days to do so? Why didn’t the assembly dissolve… etc etc?
Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh termed Kejriwal’s resignation as a masterstroke. Talking to the media, he said that the Chief Minister who built good schools for the people of Delhi, built hospitals, made pilgrimages free of cost to the elderly. Free bus travel for mothers and sisters. Gave free electricity, free water…Despite doing so much work, they gave a profitable budget. Today Kejriwal wants to go among the masses and I am confident that he will bring a certificate of sincerity from the masses.
Sanjay Singh further said that the people of Delhi will defeat him in the elections with a huge majority and confirm his sincerity. At the same time, when asked if he wanted Kejriwal to be the new CM, why did he not recommend dissolving the assembly? On that Sanjay Singh said why dissolve the assembly, do you want to impose President’s rule in Delhi?
Singh said the BJP will impose President’s rule where the assembly has been dissolved, for how long it is not known. BJP’s work is horse trading, sabotage, toppling governments, imposing president’s rule, dismissing elected government. If elections are to be held then our Election Commission decides. Our Prime Minister talks about one country, one election.
