Surya Kumar J, wife of IAS officer Ranjit Kumar, committed suicide by consuming poison in front of their house in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He also left a suicide note before dying. According to information, Surya, a resident of Tamil Nadu, was married to IAS Ranjeet Kumar of Gujarat cadre. Both also have two children. But 9 months ago Surya left his family and went to the gangster High Court Maharaja. The High Court Maharaja is Tamil Nadu’s locker gangster. Surya wrote in her suicide note – 9 months ago I came into relationship with Maharaja. At that time she knew nothing about his criminal background. We were both partners in a salon business, after which our affair began. I left my family and went to him.
In the suicide note, Surya wrote – the High Court Maharaja had borrowed 75 lakh rupees from a woman financier of SS Colony, Madurai. She was paying off her loan. He also paid Rs 1.35 crore to the financier. But by taking money from one place and repaying the loan from another, she fell into more and more debt. His and the Maharaja’s debt increased greatly. The Maharaja then hatched a plan to kidnap the financier’s son and collect a ransom of Rs 2 crore. But his plan failed and on 11 July, the Madurai police charged him, Maharaja and his associate Senthil Kumar with kidnapping.

She drank poison outside her husband’s house
When Surya returned to her husband on Monday, he was out of town. He went to get the divorce papers prepared. But as soon as he got wind that his wife had returned, he told the guards that Surya should not be allowed to enter his house at any cost. After this, Surya drank poison outside her husband’s house. He even called an ambulance himself. He was rushed to the hospital. But Surya died during the treatment.
