On Tuesday, there was a huge uproar in the State Women’s Congress Committee meeting in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, there was a heated argument between Mahila Congress National President Alka Lamba and State General Minister Madhu Sharma.
Regarding the incident, Congress leader Madhu Sharma says that she was called in the meeting of women Congress officers of MP at the Congress office, but her name was not in the list of officers.
Madhu Sharma says that he questioned Alka Lamba about this, why is our name not in the General Secretary’s list, is our appointment fake? After which Alka Lamba misbehaved with her and even threatened to kick her.
Who is Madhu Sharma who will clash with Alka Lamba?
Describing himself, Madhu Sharma says that he has been active in politics for almost 40 years. She has been working for the Congress since the time of veteran leader and former Union Minister Arjun Singh.
Madhu Sharma has also been a former Zilla Panchayat President, a former Zilla Panchayat Member and a former Councillor. Talking to the media about the incident, she said that she has also been the in-charge of Singrauli district in the Lok Sabha elections. Madhu Sharma has studied B.Ed, MA and LLB and also practices law in Singrauli.
Sonia-Rahul threatened to file a complaint
It is being said that Madhu Sharma had a heated argument with Alka Lamba. He scolded Alka Lamba in the meeting itself. Madhu Sharma has launched a fierce attack on Alka Lamba accusing her of indecent behavior. He said that Alka Lamba has talked about expelling him from the Congress party, Madhu Sharma says that he is not going to remain silent on the matter and will complain to Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in Delhi.
Madhu Sharma takes a dig at Alka Lamba and says how many seats has she won in Delhi? He himself was a candidate from Chandni Chowk, where the party lost the election due to their similar language.
Madhu Sharma has also raised questions on making Alka Lamba the president of Mahila Congress. He has said that a woman who cannot maintain her good behavior and hold the party together has been made the president of Mahila Congress.
BJP leaders targeted Congress
BJP has started surrounding the Congress over this whole controversy. Delhi BJP general secretary Vaishali Poddar shared Madhu Sharma’s video on social media platform X and wrote, “Such behavior is often seen with women leaders in Congress.” BJP state spokesperson Narendra Saluja has also targeted Rahul Gandhi by sharing Madhu Sharma’s video. Narendra Saluja wrote, “This is Congress’ love shop, this is how women are respected.”
