ED has seized diamonds worth Rs 12 crore from the house of former UP cadre IAS officer Mohinder Singh. Apart from the former IAS officer’s house in Chandigarh, the ED also raided several of his residences and seized cash worth lakhs of rupees. ED has also seized gold worth Rs 7 crore. ED had taken action against his house and premises in the Noida Authority land ghatole case.

Former IAS officer Mohinder Singh has been the CEO of Noida Authority. He is a 1978 batch IAS officer. He cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 1977. She was very close to the then CM Mayawati. He retired on 31 July 2012.

He is accused of helping several big real estate companies including Amrapali and Supertech. He was also found guilty in the Supertech Twin Towers scam. Many other officers were found guilty along with him in this case. At the same time, the CAG provided evidence of collusion between the builders to Noida authority officials. According to the CAG, between 2005 and 2018, there was a massive fraud in the authority and the state government suffered a loss of thousands of crores of rupees.
