Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who reached Ranchi on a visit to Jharkhand, said on the issue of infiltration that the Union Home Ministry can do everything but who gives shelter to the infiltrators in the state? He said that the work of the Ministry of Home Affairs is limited to its borders. The state government empowers the BSF to operate within 50 km of the border, as we have done in Assam. JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) government should also give full power to BSF.

Chief Minister Sarma said that the central government has no power within the state. If there are Rohingyas in Ranchi, the central government cannot identify them and send them back. If the state government wants to give power to the centre, we will welcome it. We will accept that challenge.

Assembly election strategy

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma are on a state tour to strategize for the assembly elections to be held in Jharkhand this year. BJP election in-charge for Jharkhand Shivraj Chauhan and co-in-charge CM Himanta are also reviewing the party’s performance in the Lok Sabha polls in the state.

Meeting with MLAs and MPs

He held a meeting with party leaders, MLAs, MPs and workers in Ranchi to chalk out a strategy for the state assembly elections to be held later this year. Chief Minister Sharma claimed that in the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had also won the lead in the assembly seat of Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren. He said that if I were the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, I would have resigned due to this failure.
