The palanquin of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj is about to leave for Pandharpur. This year it is the 339th Palkhi Samaroh of Tukaram Maharaj’s Palkhi. Warkaris from every corner of the state have entered Dehu city for this Palkhi Samaroh. The Vitthal Rukhmini temple in Dehu has been decorated attractively. The puja and other programs of this Palkhi Samaroh have started from this morning itself. The departure ceremony will start at around two in the afternoon. Various programs have started in the temple from 4.30 am today. Abhishek was done at 4.30 am in the Shila temple.

Palki departure today

Abhishekam and Kakad Aarti were performed at the Swayambhu Vitthal Rukmini temple. Swayambhu Vitthal Rukmini was duly worshipped. Later, the Charan Paduka of Tukaram Maharaj’s third immortal Taponidhi Narayan Maharaj was anointed and duly worshipped. Charan Vandana of Tukaram Maharaj was performed some time ago. And now Kaliya Kirtan has started. Today at 3 pm, the Palki departure ceremony will be organized in the presence of dignitaries. Therefore, today Maharaj’s palanquin will remain in Inamdar Wada.

About four to five lakh Warkaris will walk in the palanquin of Sant Tukaram Maharaj. Thus, 400 Dhindas have been registered this year. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was invited to this ceremony. But he is going to send his representative this year as the rains have improved and the crowd will increase in the Wari ceremony.

Today’s program of Maharaja’s palanquin

1) Mahapuja at 5 am

2) 7 PM Mahapuja of Samadhi of Narayan Maharaj by the trustees

3) Worship of the Paduka of Saint Tukaram Maharaj from 9 am to 11 am

4) Kaliya Kirtan from 10 to 12

5) Palki departure ceremony in the presence of dignitaries at 3 pm

6) Palanquin around the temple at five o’clock

7) At 6pm stop at Palkhi Inamdar Wada

8) Kirtan Jagar at 9 pm

Mauli’s horses bow at the feet of wealthy Dagdusheth Ganapati

The horses of the palanquin of Saint Dnyaneshwar Mauli bowed down at the feet of the wealthy Dagdusheth of Pune. These horses of the Mauli palanquin ceremony were brought to the temple hall and worshipped. On this occasion, the temple premises resounded with chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya… Mauli Mauli. A crowd of devotees thronged the temple to see the horses. Two horses owned by Shitole Sarkar of Ankali in Belgaum, Karnataka, reached Pune. These horses were worshipped at the wealthy Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati temple.

When will the palanquin be in Hadapsar?

On June 2, the palanquins will stop at Hadapsar for darshan. Bus services are provided from Mahatma Gandhi Station to Pune Station, Warjemalwadi, Kothrud Depot, Nigdi, Chinchwad, Alandi. Diveghat Road between Hadapsar and Saswad will be completely closed for traffic. Therefore, for the convenience of passengers, bus services on these routes will be continued from Bopdev Ghat instead of Diveghat. Therefore, 60 additional buses have been planned from Swargate, Pune Station, Hadapsar.
