Why Anurag Kashyap had to go to jail?
Director and actor Anurag Kashyap is known for openly expressing his views on every issue. Any matter related to his personal life, he does not hesitate to talk about it. Now he has revealed that he had to go to jail for slapping a man. He spent a night in lockup.
Anurag is currently in the limelight for his web series ‘Bad Cop’. His web series has been released on June 21 on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar. These days he is busy promoting this web series. Meanwhile, in an interview given to YouTuber Samya Raina, she has spoken about going to jail.
Why Anurag had to go to jail?
Anurag said yes he has gone to jail. He said he slapped a person he shouldn’t have slapped. He also said, “The man who put me in lockup changed my life. He was the one who got me out of lockup.” He also says that the person who got him out of lockup was impressed that Anurag raised his voice for the right thing.

Last year, Anurag brought a film called ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’. Even during the promotions of that film, he revealed on the Unfiltered with Samdish YouTube channel that he had to return from Denmark. But there was no direct flight from there. Then he took a ticket to Saudi Arabia.
After buying the ticket he had to wait for 5 hours so he sat in the airport lounge. He was very tired. He had liquor so he started drinking. He then fell asleep while boarding the flight and was drunk when the flight landed in Saudi. There he was taken into custody and then interrogated. However, he was later released.
