How did Taha Shah Badusha get Karan Johar’s film?

When Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first web series ‘Hiramandi’ was released on Netflix in April, the personal lives and careers of all the stars featured in it started to be discussed. Actor Taha Shah Badusha also played an important role in this series. He has also been in the limelight a lot. Now he has spoken about a film released in the year 2013, which was made under the banner of Karan Johar’s production house Dharma Productions.

That movie is ‘Gippy’, directed by Sonam Nair. Apart from Taha Shah, Rhea Vij and Divya Dutta were also seen in this film. In an interview given to The Week, Taha Shah has told the story behind getting this film. He said that he ran behind Karan Johar’s car, after which he met Karan for the first time and then auditioned.

Taha said, “After YRF’s ‘Love Ka The End’ ended, I went out and started networking and then I found ‘Gippy’. I ran behind Karan Johar’s car, I hit his car and told him I have a film and I want to show it to you, please give me your number. He was very kind. He gave me his number and asked if I was okay. He gave me water to drink and that’s how I met him for the first time. Taha further revealed that after that he again went to Karan’s office and auditioned for ‘Gippy’.

Let us tell you that the film that Taha mentioned ‘Love Ka The End’ was her debut film. He was seen with Shraddha Kapoor in this film. The film released in 2011 was directed by Bumpy. However, talking about ‘Gippy’, this film was not successful at the box office. According to Box Office India, the budget of the film was Rs 6 crore. However, the film could collect only Rs.5.75 crore worldwide.
