Kumar Sanu sang Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

When a song is composed, the vocals alone are not enough. A music composer is also required to compose a song. If a song becomes a hit, the credit goes to everyone from the singer to the writer to the music producer. But only Kumar Sanu took credit for the song Tuze Dekha To Ye Jaana Sanam from Shah Rukh Khan’s 1955 film Dil Wale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

‘Tuzhe Dekha To Yeh Jaana Sanam’ is an iconic song by Shah Rukh and Kajol, which people are humming even today. Lata Mangeshkar and Kumar Sanu gave their voices in it. Its music was composed by the duo of Jatin-Lalit and lyrics were penned by Anand Bakshi. The song proved to be a hit. Recently Lalit Pandit revealed that the credit of this song was taken by Kumar Sanu alone. He felt very bad for this.

Anand could not recognize Bakshi

He said, “The fact that Kumar Sanu didn’t recognize Anand Bakshi, who wrote the lyrics, and us, who composed the music for it, which was a hit, was a bit disturbing. It’s not right for him to keep saying ‘that’s my song, that’s my song’. He himself decides who will sing his song. It was the best song of Kumar Sanu’s career, so it was not right for Anand Bakshi and us not to give credit.”

Lalit Pandit gave music in the Panchayat

Along with this, Lalit also revealed that Kumar Sanu has never worked with Yash Raj Films after Tuze Dekha To Yeh Jaana Sanam. He said, “During the making of the song, some things happened that were not right. ‘DDLJ’ was the last film under Yash Raj’s banner, for which Kumar Sanu sang. Yashji never defeated him again. Sometimes wrong things happen.” As for Lalit, he recently composed music for ‘Panchayat 3’.
