John Abraham said the producer ignores his messages
John Abraham started his acting career 21 years ago. It has been a part of the industry for so many years. Since then he has acted in many films. Also made films. But he says even today producers don’t trust him and his film-making process. In a recent interview, John said that producers ignore his messages.
John said he first had to convince studio heads to fund his film. Talking about his struggle, he said, “I produced ‘Vicky Donor’. I did films like ‘Madras Cafe’, ‘Batla House’. But even today I have to convince the studio heads that this is a different film and please fund my process. To this day he doesn’t trust me 100 per cent and tells me the budget is too high.”
“Whatever I’ve Got”
John Abraham also spoke about his fees and said he doesn’t charge more than what he ‘deserves’. He said, “My fee as an actor does not burden the film. I feel that if the film earns, I will also earn. I don’t want to burden the film, so I make films according to my ability, my standard. I’m very proud of my stuff.”

John said the studio head often doesn’t respond to him, especially since he doesn’t use WhatsApp. He said, “First of all, I don’t have WhatsApp, so if I send SMS to people, they don’t reply to me. I am not getting any reply for a very long time. I messaged the head of the studio and he told me he would get back to me, but it’s been four and a half months and he hasn’t responded. I don’t feel bad, but I deserve an answer, I believe I want to try to change Indian cinema a little if people trust me a little. I’m not saying I’m a game changer, but I want to try.
Talk about upcoming films
Not only this, John also talked about his next project. He said that he is very interested in geopolitics. John said, “I want to make entertaining films and something on geopolitics. Because I am interested in it. My upcoming films like ‘Tehran’ and ‘Diplomat’ are great. I want to package them in an interesting way and show them to the audience. John also revealed that ‘The Diplomat’ is based on the life of Indian diplomat JP Singh. John will be seen in the lead role. Apart from this, his ‘Ved’ with Sharwari Vagh is all set to release on August 15.
