Vistara will bid farewell on November 11

On November 11, a major change will take place in the country’s aviation sector. Tata group’s Vistara airline, which has created a distinct identity among people with its premium service, will no longer be taking off separate flights but will complete its merger with Air India. In such a situation, what will happen to those who are members of the Club Vistara loyalty programme and have reward points? You will get its complete details here.

The merger of Air India and Vistara was announced in 2022. The company took a long time to complete this work. The reason for this is that this merger of both airlines has taken place at all levels. Therefore, now Vistara flights will not be seen separately but will be seen under the ownership of Air India.

Vistara Club will remain closed

First of all, know that as soon as the Vistara brand takes off, all the services related to its name will stop. However, the benefits that people get under Club Vistara will be integrated with the Air India Flying Return program. Till this loyalty program integration process is completed, Club Vistara will continue to operate as normal.

How will your reward points be useful?

The company has made it clear that customers can book flights from Vistara Club points till November 11 as Vistara flag flights will be operated till the same day. However, when customers go to book tickets, they will be redirected to Air India site from September 3 onwards as the flights will be operated by Air India only. Now, as far as the remaining reward points are concerned, these rules will be applicable for them…

  1. Customers will have the option to cancel Club Vistara and Air India Flying Returns, but in that case the Club Vistara benefits will continue until the integration is completed.
  2. People will have the opportunity to change their tier status. They will get it based on their combined points. If they want, they can also keep their previous tier status.
  3. The remaining Vistara Club points will be transferred in a 1:1 ratio. This means that customers will get one Air India Flying Returns point in exchange for one Vistara Club point. Post-merger, Vistara Club points will be valid for only one year.
  4. If you have booked using Club Vistara points, these will be transferred on all return flights. Updated flight details will be sent to you later.
  5. Your existing complimentary ticket vouchers will also be transferred to Air India Flying Returns.
