Former state CM Champai Soren joined BJP.
Champai Soren has been assigned a special task. BJP will honor him with big posts only after completing that task. Champai’s son Babulal Soren has also joined the BJP. Babulal may contest from Champai seat. But Champai Sorane has been entrusted with the responsibility of reducing the number of tribals and increasing the Muslim population in the Santhal Pargana seats. The BJP’s intention is clear that if Champai’s magic works in 10 of the 28 tribal-dominated seats, Hemant Soren’s power loss in Jharkhand is certain. Hence, BJP is seeing Champai Soren’s entry as a big success.
What is BJP trying to achieve by fielding Champai Soren?
Champai Soren hails from Santhal Pargana. Therefore, the increase in the population of Muslims in Santhal and the decrease in the number of tribals is planned to be a major issue. Apparently, an attempt to connect it with tribal identity, which Champai Soren himself would actively promote among the people, is decided.
Intermarriage with tribal daughters-in-law and the establishment of Santhal communities from other countries have been synonymous with tribal population decline in tribal dominated areas. Champai Soren will put this before the public and tell how JMM and Congress are busy settling Muslims in tribal dominated areas due to vote bank greed.
Champai Soren has already indicated his strategy before joining the BJP. So BJP’s full emphasis is on winning 10 to 15 seats out of 28. Naturally, the BJP central leadership knows that one cannot say for sure how effective Babulal Marandi or Arjun Munda will be in terms of popularity among Santhalis.
But Champai Soren, who has been doing JMM politics for four decades, will succeed in uniting tribals by making their identity an issue. Hence the top leaders of the party are also paying full attention to Champa.
How much will the Kolhan area be affected?
Champa: is a Santhali but is called the Tiger of Kolhan. Kolhan has 14 assembly seats, out of which JMM managed to win 13 seats in the assembly elections. Champa Soren’s son Babulal Potka may contest from the seat. At other meetings, Champai Soren would also try to pin down Kolhan’s identity and tell people about the misbehavior he faced.
It is being said that Champai’s magic will surely work in Kolhan as well, which could spell trouble for JMM. Therefore, JMM chief Hemant Soren has started focusing more on Kolhan considering Champai Soren’s rebellious attitude. Hemant Soren has started awarding women under Mania Yojana by making Ramdas Soren from Kolhan as minister.
But, after Champai Soren’s decision in East and West Singhbhum and Sarai Kela and Kharaswana, a large number of Champai’s supporters reached Ranchi today and were seen raising BJP Zindabad slogans in support of Champai. Apparently, Champai Soren, who has intimately understood the politics of JMM for four decades, has been entrusted with the responsibility of rooting out JMM. With this, BJP can succeed in forming the government in Jharkhand.
How did BJP leaders Marandi and Munda get ready in the name of Champa?
According to sources, BJP will not contest elections under the leadership of Champai Soren, this has been told to Babulal Marandi and Arjun Munda. All these leaders have been entrusted with the responsibility of working hard in the tribal areas to bring victory to the party. Apparently, if the magic of Champaign works on 10 seats, the BJP can offer a deputy chief minister post in the state or a ministerial post at the Centre.
Champa: Soren’s son Babulal can also reap the fruits of Champa’s hard work. Assembly elections in four states are becoming a question of survival for the BJP. So one of them wants to run the central government by force after winning the elections in Jharkhand. Apparently, the BJP is seeing a strong tribal leader’s support for the exercise as a major success. Champai’s entry is now understandable for Babulal Marandi and Arjun Munda, who lost the Lok Sabha elections. That is why Shivraj Singh Chauhan along with Arjun Munda also looked happy during the formal entry of Champa.
