Sunita Kejriwal has taken charge of Haryana elections from AAP.
Sunita Kejriwal has taken charge of the assembly elections in Haryana on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party. After issuing 5 guarantees to AAP in Panchkula, Sunita is now shifting to Rohtak, Bhiwani and Ambala, strongholds of BJP and Congress. There are 10 assembly seats in the three districts. In the absence of Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party is working on a strategy to contest elections in a state for the first time.
AAP has also prepared a plan for the first 15 days to win Haryana. Under this plan, AAP leaders will hold 45 major rallies in Haryana. The responsibility of these rallies has been given to Sunit Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Ambala Saini and Vij’s stronghold
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini hails only from Ambala district. He was born in Mirzapur Majra. In 2014, he won the election from Narayangarh in the district. However later he went to Kurukshetra and Karnal. Apart from Chief Minister Saini, Ambala is also considered a stronghold of senior BJP leader Anil Vij.
Vij is MLA from Ambala Cantt assembly seat. Vij Khattar was the second leader in the government. He held the important portfolio of Home Department. Ambala district has total 4 assembly seats and in 2019 BJP won 2 and Congress 2.
AAP is eyeing those two seats in Ambala, where the Congress stood third in 2019. In 2019, the Congress candidate got only 8 thousand votes on the Ambala Cantt seat. Here independent Chitra Sarvara stood second. Similar was the situation in Ambala city seat.
BJP’s Asim Goyal won here. Nirmal Singh, contesting as an independent candidate, was second. The deposit of Jasbir Malhaur of Congress was confiscated at this meeting.
5 guarantees were announced in Panchkula
Last week Sunita Kejriwal issued 5 guarantees for AAP from Panchkula, Haryana. This guarantee was issued for the entire Haryana election. This guarantee included many important issues like free electricity and education. This was Sunita’s first big rally in Haryana.
Panchkula district has 2 assembly seats (Kalka and Panchkula). Currently one seat is occupied by Congress and one seat by BJP. Panchkula is dominated by Punjabi voters. Similar is the situation of Kalka seat. Currently, Aam Aadmi Party is in power in Punjab and AAP is hoping that with the help of the same Punjabi, it can win here as well, so AAP is balancing these seats.
Sunita rally in Rohtak-Bhiwani too
Rohtak is considered the stronghold of Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Sunita’s rally is also proposed here. AAP contested the 2024 Lok Sabha polls in alliance with the Congress, but they have a different path in the assembly polls. AAP is trying to kill two birds with one stone by holding Sunita’s rally in Rohtak. AAP’s first attempt is to raise voice against Congress and second attempt is to create pressure politics.
There are total 4 assembly seats in Rohtak. In 2019, Congress won 3 seats and an independent candidate won. Sunita’s rally is also proposed in Bhiwani. Bhiwani is the birthplace of Arvind Kejriwal.
Arvind is currently in jail on charges of money laundering. Sunita also wants to advance in politics with the help of emotional appeal in Bhiwani. Bhiwani has 3 assembly seats and last time BJP won 2 seats and Congress one seat.
AAP’s clan is growing in Haryana
In 2019, the Aam Aadmi Party fielded candidates on 46 seats in Haryana, but could not win a single seat. Its vote percentage was less than NOTA. AAP got 0.48 percent votes in 2019 elections. However, AAP’s performance has improved in the last 5 years.
AAP had formed an alliance with the Congress for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The party won the Kurukshetra seat, where the AAP candidate lost the election in a very close contest. As per assembly AAP has got lead in 4 seats. This figure is hope for you.
