The Center opened the coffers in the budget for Bihar

The central government appeared kind to Bihar in this budget. Out of this he has given 58 thousand 900 crore rupees only for big projects. While provision has been made in this budget for many other small projects as well. Most importantly, it includes a budget of 26 thousand crore rupees for road infrastructure in Bihar.

Similarly, 21 thousand 400 crore rupees have been given for power projects. At the same time, a budget of Rs 11,500 crore has been earmarked to deal with the calamity of floods in Bihar every year. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her budget speech made a separate budget provision for a new medical college and airport for Bihar. As per the intention of the central government, many new medical colleges will be opened in Bihar in the near future. Similarly, airports are likely to come up in many cities.

Two new bridges will be constructed over the river Ganga

The Finance Minister has also announced the construction of two new bridges across the Ganga river. One of these bridges is proposed to be built in Buxar. He said that Nalanda city of Bihar will be developed as a tourism hub by the central government. Similarly, other possibilities of tourism in the state will also be considered. In the same vein, considering the power problem in Bihar, a power plant of 2400 MW capacity at Pirpenty has also been outlined.

In his budget speech, the finance minister also talked about finding a solution to Bihar’s woeful Kosi river problem. A separate budget will be released to control the floods in this river every year. In this sequence, while discussing road projects, he proposed a budget of Rs 26000 crore for Bihar. Said that the central government will provide financial assistance to Bihar with the help of multilateral development agencies. Similarly, Purvodaya Yojana will be launched for the overall development of states like Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh etc. For this, the format of industrial corridor is being considered.
