The Chief Minister also received information about the approach road under construction at Krishna Ghat connecting Ashok Rajpath with JP Ganga Path and directed to complete the construction expeditiously. While observing the rising water level of river Ganga, the Chief Minister directed the District Magistrate of Patna to be on full alert and to keep all preparations in view of the rise in water level in the areas along the banks of river Ganga. Gandhi also reached Hajipur through the bridge

During the inspection, the Chief Minister reached Hajipur through Gandhi Setu. Inspected the flood relief camp set up in Hajipur. The Chief Minister interacted with the people living in the flood relief camp and took detailed information about the arrangements there. Instructing the District Magistrate of Vaishali district at the flood relief camp, the Chief Minister said that everyone should take care of the facilities of the people living in the relief camps. Constantly monitor the situation.

Instructing the officials during the inspection, the Chief Minister said that the water resources department should be fully prepared and should carry out continuous monitoring. Keep a close eye on possible conditions in low-lying areas where water is rising. District Magistrate should continuously monitor. The disaster management department should constantly monitor what else needs to be done so that people do not face any problem. In case of flood, full assistance should be provided to the affected people as per SOP. Disaster victims have the first right on government exchequer.

Guidelines should be strictly followed-CM

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), detailed guidelines have been issued to all districts and concerned departments, which should be followed in letter and spirit. He said that full arrangements should be made regarding operation of boats, polythene sheets, availability of relief materials, medicines, fodder, flood shelters, community kitchens, dry ration packets/food packets, district emergency operation center etc. so that immediate relief can be provided. can provide people.
