The mystery of the death of a junior doctor of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College is getting complicated. In the investigation, information is coming out one after another. A police investigation revealed that the junior doctor was raped and murdered. According to police sources, the accused assaulted the girl while she was sleeping. When the girl tried to stop the rape, she was tortured. He was beaten.
The dead body of a female junior doctor on duty was found in the fourth floor seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College on Friday morning. His body was embalmed and a post-mortem was conducted at the hospital.
The preliminary postmortem report reveals that the junior doctor was tortured to death. There are injury marks all over the body. There are blood stains in the eyes. There are injury marks on the genitals as well. The Kolkata police have registered a case of murder and rape and are investigating. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted.

The mother of the deceased said that her daughter asked her to take food over the phone. He ordered food online. After having dinner in the seminar room, he covered himself with a red blanket and slept on a blue carpet on the floor. The accused attacked her while she was sleeping.
The accused was identified through CCTV footage
According to investigative sources, although there is no CCTV in the seminar hall, the police have examined the footage of cameras around the incident site and the hospital. The accused has been identified from that footage. On the night of the incident, the accused was seen entering the seminar hall building twice. The accused youth came for the first time around 11 pm on Thursday night. After a while he came out. After this, at 4 o’clock again he went to the building. And after 30-35 minutes he came out and went home.
According to the preliminary investigation, the accused youth went straight to the fourth floor at around 4 am. After this he entered the seminar hall and pounced on the sleeping doctor. The girl lost sleep due to the sudden attack. When he tried to stop him, he was beaten up. After this, while leaving the seminar hall, the accused raped her and killed her. Preliminary investigation reveals that she was strangled to death. He also said that the matter will be clear only after the complete post-mortem report.
After the rape, he reached home, drank alcohol and slept
Investigators found from CCTV footage that the accused had Bluetooth headphones around his neck when he was admitted to the hospital at 4 am. There was no time to return from there. Broken headphones were found at the scene. Police investigation revealed that the accused was drunk when he was admitted to the hospital early in the morning.
He left the hospital after 11 pm and was drunk. After the incident, the accused went straight home from the hospital. Went home again, drank and slept. The police have seized the mobile phone from the accused. According to police sources, many obscene videos were found in that mobile phone. The police are trying to guess the mindset of the accused by examining all those sources.
