Chief Minister Bhagwant Ma has launched a major drive to make the state drug free while inaugurating the new office of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force in Mohali, Punjab. He said that our biggest war is going on against drugs. The CM said that this is the result of our war that many smugglers have been caught in the last few months and their assets of 400 crores have also been seized. He said that earlier we had a special task force on drugs, which we have now upgraded.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Ma said that the operation to catch the smugglers has been intensified. The aim of this task force office is to root out the drug trade in Punjab. He said that the special task force has been named Anti-Narcotics Task Force. Earlier their number was 400 and now it has been increased to 800. 90 lakh rupees have been spent to upgrade this police station.
CM revealed the WhatsApp number
Chief Minister Bhagwant Ma said that he has also issued a WhatsApp number 9779100200 to serve the people. By this anyone can give information of drug smuggler and his name will be kept confidential. He said that we treat drug addicts as patients, but drug sellers will not be spared at any cost. Along with this, the Punjab government has given 12 crore rupees for modern equipment. 10 thousand new recruits are also proposed in Punjab Police to control drug addiction.
Cameras will be installed at every corner of Mohali
CM Bhagwant Ma also said meanwhile that crime cases are now being solved 24 hours a day. Punjab is a border state, so we need to be very careful. He said that cameras are being installed at every intersection in Mohali, the control room of which will also be in this building. He said that our government is serious about making the state drug free as well as the security of common citizens.
