Veteran actor Vijay Kadam of the film industry has passed away. He breathed his last on August 10, Saturday morning at his home in Andheri, Mumbai. Vijay Kadam was battling cancer for some time now. He has contributed a lot to the Marathi film industry. However, along with Marathi, he also worked in several Hindi projects. His first Hindi film as an actor ‘Tere Mere Sapne’ was produced by Amitabh Bachchan himself. The film featured Arshad Warsi and Chandrachud Singh in lead roles.
Actually Vijay Kadam who is famous in Marathi industry started his career with Hindi films. In 1978, after passing his degree exam from Art College, producer Kailash Chandra offered Vijay an opportunity to work as an assistant director in Mithun Chakraborty’s film ‘Ghamandi’. His film journey started with this film. Then a few years ago he shared the screen with Mithun Chakraborty in ‘The Tashkent Files’.

Vijay Kadam was suffering from cancer for the last one and a half years. He was undergoing treatment for cancer, but eventually succumbed and the cancer won.
