Eighth pass Sonu is expert in hacking electronic locks of vehicles. The gang used to steal luxury vehicles with duplicate keys by re-programming ECM (Electronic Content Management) machines to generate new codes.
The accused said that it takes 5-10 minutes to commit the crime. After stealing the cars, the gang used to remove their number plates etc. Then the car was parked in a safe parking place or a different place for 2-3 days. After that, they used to sell vehicles in other states by making fake documents and affixing new number plates.
This is how they used to commit crimes
The miscreants said that when they took the stolen vehicles to other hideouts, the gang members would keep alerting them along the way that the road ahead was clear. That is, there is no police. If they had seen the police ahead they would have parked the car on the side. Then they stayed there until the police left on the pretext of getting it fixed.
