A youth was brutally murdered on July 11 in Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun. A dead body of a youth was found on the banks of Betwa river in Mohana village here. The wife of the deceased filed a case of murder against five people. Police detained a person for questioning. But he also died in police custody under suspicious circumstances. 4 other accused are absconding.
The deceased’s wife, mother and brother raised slogans at the Superintendent of Police office late at night. Also demanded the arrest of the accused at the earliest. On receiving the information, Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar Verma reached the spot with a police team and consoled the family members. He also assured to arrest the accused at the earliest by forming a SIT under the leadership of the CO.
The case is of Mohan village in Jalaun. Here on July 11, a confectioner was brutally crushed to death near the Betwa river. The confectioner’s name was Santosh Kumar. Santosh’s wife filed a murder case against five people including the house owner. When the police arrived to arrest a youth, he died under suspicious circumstances. But the remaining 4 accused have not been caught yet. On Monday night, the deceased’s angry wife Sarita, mother and brother raised slogans against the police at the Superintendent of Police office late at night.
Death of an accused
The deceased’s wife filed a murder case against the landlord Rajkumar, his elder brother Nirbhay Singh, his son Bhagwan Das, his wife Radha, Karthik and Akash. The police took one of the accused Rajkumar into custody, but when he was put in the car, he became unconscious. Seeing him unconscious, the police reached the hospital and the doctor declared him brought dead. When the police conducted the postmortem of the accused, it was found that the cause of death was heart attack.
The family alleges
Due to the non-arrest of the remaining 4 accused, the family members of the deceased have alleged that the police are not arresting the accused because of the white-collar people in this case. He says that the accused are roaming freely. Also demanded the arrest of the accused at the earliest.
