Wild animals kill sheep
As many as 26 sheep were killed after a herd of wild animals entered a cattle shed and fatally attacked sheep in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh, while more than 12 lambs are also missing. As soon as this incident was reported in the village, an atmosphere of fear prevailed in the entire village. The frightened people reported the incident to the local police. As soon as the information was received, the forest department officials and police team investigated the spot and sent the dead sheep for postmortem.
Lalla Pal, who lives in Patanpur village of Bivar, works as a sheep grazer. Like every day, he tied his sheep in the cattle pen and went to his home. A herd of wild animals entered the cattle shed late at night and attacked the sheep and the ferocious animals killed as many as 26 sheep. When Lalla Pal reached his cattle shed in the morning, he was shocked to see mutilated carcasses of sheep strewn there. More than a dozen small sheep are also missing. Dead bodies of some children have also been found in the distant forest.
A situation of fear in the village due to wild animals

According to Raghav, a resident of the village, the way sheep have been targeted. Looking at it, it looks like this job can only be done by a pack of hyenas or ferocious wolves. Due to this incident, there is a feeling of fear among all the villagers. They do not allow their young children to play outside the house and people move in groups in their villages.

Police and forest department teams rushed to the spot on receiving information about the death of such a large number of sheep at once and according to DFO Hamirpur Anil Kumar Srivastav, the case is related to more than two hyenas attack feeling, the way the sheep have been attacked. The children inside their wombs have become useless. It is the hyenas that do it and some sheep have died of panic after being attacked by hyenas. At present, the postmortem of the dead sheep is being done. After this, information about which wild animals attacked them will be received.
