Arrest of a youth who appeared for constable recruitment exam

A shocking incident has come to light from Saharanpur on Saturday during the constable recruitment exam in Uttar Pradesh Police. Saharanpur police have arrested a youth who dreamed of joining the police even before taking the exam. The accused came to take the exam by changing his name and age. Biometric test revealed his real name. Now the police have registered a case against the accused and sent him to jail.

Saharanpur police said Dheeraj Kumar, a resident of Sedpur in UP’s Bulandshahr district, was arrested by the police from the examination center set up at JV Jain College. Dheeraj Kumar came in the guise of Ravi to take the police recruitment exam. It is alleged that he appeared for the exam by creating fake documents. When the police interrogated the accused Dhiraj, what he said was very surprising.

The accused told the police

Dheeraj said that his date of birth is 1992 and he passed High School in 2009, Intermediate in 2012 and BA in 2015. With the help of these certificates, he took the inspector exam in 2012, in which he failed. Now he was getting old and he was not getting a police job. Due to this, he changed his date of birth to 2002 and then passed high school in 2017 with name Ravi and intermediate in 2019. Then today he came to Saharanpur to take the UP Police constable recruitment exam.

Police registered a case

While the police team was checking in the examination center for the second shift examination, the police did a biometric check of Ravi Kumar and found that the candidate’s name was not Ravi but Dhiraj. The police have also seized several fake IDs from Dheeraj. A case has been registered against Dheeraj Kumar at Sadar Bazar Police Station under various sections and further action is being taken.

A police official said the accused has confessed to forging the certificate. The police are trying to find out how he gave matric and intermediate exams from other schools and colleges. It cannot be ruled out that he might have given fake documents to the school to gain admission again.
