A bulldozer is running in Kannauj

A shocking incident has come to light in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. The revenue department officials gave the land to the poor to build houses, but the SDM team started the bulldozers as soon as the house construction was completed. This case is from Thathiya in Kannauj district. The tehsil administration says that the houses were being built on the drain land. Due to which the drainage of water from the town was stopped. While the affected people say that this land was given to them by the officials of the revenue department after measurement.

According to the information, an 18 feet wide drain has been left in Thalia Nagar for disposal of waste water and rain water. The land left for this canal is also mentioned in government records. Recently a team of Regional Accountant and Revenue Inspector measured this land and distributed residential leases outside the land left for drainage. After getting the lease, three people started building a house by filling the soil with soil.

The SDM started the bulldozer

When it rained, only 30 percent of the work was done and the town was flooded in the first rain. When rain water started entering people’s houses, people complained to the DM. A memorandum was also given to Sadr MLA and Minister Asim Arun along with the complaint during the conciliation day. After this, the District Magistrate took the matter seriously and referred it to the SDM for immediate action. The SDM also got the land measured and demolished the three under-construction houses with bulldozers, declaring them to be on drain land.

A wall built in an acre of land was demolished

During this time, the locals told the SDM that many more permanent buildings and shops were constructed on the drain land with the connivance of the revenue department team. After this complaint, the SDM instructed the Revenue Inspector to remove the encroachment. After this, after receiving a complaint with the revenue team about construction of a boundary wall in a lease for plantation, the SDM reached Kuriana village and demolished the illegally constructed wall on about 1 acre of land.

Clashes with media personnel

Now a question is being raised by the local people that how the land for which the revenue department had given a lease a month ago has become illegal now? When questions were asked in this regard, there was a clash between the SDM and the mediapersons. On the other hand, the victims Ramnivas and Ghanshyam said that the revenue department team gave the land on lease after measurement. They spent their entire life savings on the construction, but the SDM arbitrarily demolished the building. The affected said that the revenue department officials are responsible if leases are given on wrong land, but instead of taking action against them, houses of the poor are demolished.
