UP Police Recruitment Exam 2024: Major Action by STF, Woman Constable Arrested, 5 Admit Cards Received

UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam 2024 has started from today. These exams are being conducted from 23rd August to 31st August. Meanwhile, the government was also making efforts to check the examination scams, but even those who are involved in exam rigging are not deterred. A woman constable has been arrested by the STF team in UP’s Gorakhpur. The STF received information that the constable had taken the contract to recruit candidates into the police force.

The lady constable is a resident of Bansgaon police station area of ​​Gorakhpur district. He has three more associates in this recruiting work. A colleague came from Delhi to collect money. After this information, the STF team immediately reached the lady constable’s house near Bansgaon police station area. A total of four people are being detained and questioned there.

The lady constable was posted in Sravasti district

According to police sources, the lady constable was posted in Sravasti district. He was suspended by the SP there for prolonged absence. She stayed at her village home during the suspension. In the meantime, he became friends with a young man from Delhi on Facebook. The youth cheated people in the name of getting jobs. He developed a friendship with a lady constable in the name of recruitment. The woman used to take contracts for police recruitment from her relatives and friends. For this he took Rs 5 lakh from each candidate.

Five admit cards were found from the mobile

From Delhi, the youth came to Bansgaon with the same money along with his four wheeler and his personal security guard and driver. When the STF team came to know about this, it immediately reached the spot along with the local police and started questioning a total of four people, including a woman constable. Five admit cards have been recovered from the woman’s mobile phone. The woman during questioning said that all the admit cards belonged to her relatives. However, STF and Crime Branch police are continuing to investigate. She is trying to find out whether these people actually committed or attempted to commit any theft in the police recruitment or their intention was only to extort money through fraud.

Exam in 5 days, ten shifts

A total of 2 lakh 45 thousand candidates will take the exam in ten shifts in 5 days on August 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 in Gorakhpur. 24,500 candidates are appearing for the exam in one shift. A total of 1100 cameras have been installed at 55 examination centers in the district to monitor these candidates. Accordingly, one camera has been installed for every 23 candidates. 400 male and 110 female constables, 100 sub-inspectors and SPs and higher officials have been assigned responsibility for this work. Police and administrative officials are constantly patrolling. Regarding the arrest of the female constable, SSP Dr Gaurav Grover said that all these people are being interrogated. There is a possibility that they were cheating people and extorting money. Burglary knows no bounds. The investigation so far has not revealed anything serious.
