In Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly, the death of a mother and a child due to the negligence of a quack doctor has created an uproar. The pregnant woman was first brought to the community health center. Seeing the woman’s condition deteriorating, the doctors present there asked her to be taken out. Asha, present at the hospital, took her to a quack doctor. The family created an uproar after the death of the mother and child. Police reached the spot, pacified the people and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
The family has demanded action against the negligent doctor and Asha. Based on the family’s complaint, the police have registered a case and started investigation. Unregistered dispensaries are opening indiscriminately in the district. Lack of government health services in rural areas has left people reeling. Employees posted in government hospitals are also trapping patients in the lure of money.

The incident of death of mother and child took place in Fazilpur village under Nawabganj police station area of Bareilly. Kuvarsen lives here and works as a labourer. His wife Bhuri Devi was pregnant. When she went into labor, her family took her to the community health center in Nawabganj. Seeing Bhuri Devi’s critical condition, CHC doctors gave up. He was referred to the district hospital. Family members alleged that Asha, present at the CHC, took them to a quack doctor in the area.
The quack doctor performed the operation for 15 thousand rupees
The quack doctor took 15 thousand rupees from her and operated on Bhuri Devi. The mother and child lost their lives due to negligence in the operation. Due to the death of mother and child, the family members were saddened. The family created an uproar alleging negligence. The police reached the spot after receiving information about the commotion. The police pacified the rioters. The body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. The family has reached the police station and filed a complaint for action.
Action will be taken after investigation
Bareilly CMO Dr. Vishram Singh said that the relevant matter is under cognizance. will be investigated. Action will be taken based on the report. Here, Medical Superintendent of CHC Nawabganj, Dr. Amit Kumar Gangwar said that the pregnant woman was admitted to the CHC, but her condition was deteriorating. So he was referred to the district hospital. Kotwal Nawabganj Rajkumar Sharma said that the police is investigating the matter. Action will be taken based on evidence.
