The government hospital doctor’s mind came out
Doctor…who is called the God of Earth and in return for providing medical facilities to this God, he is paid lakhs of rupees every month by the government so that he does not face any trouble. Despite this, even doctors are not behind in curing patients. One such case has come to light from the Government Medical College of Ghazipur, UP. Here, an elderly woman was asked for Rs 1.5 lakh for surgery.
Not only this, the woman was also kept in the medical college for two days. Now when the woman’s family reached to complain to the college principal about this matter, the whole matter came to light.
Government Medical College Case
85-year-old Mangalavati Jaiswal, a resident of Kashiram Residential Colony, Badi Bagh, was admitted to the Government Medical College, Gazipur. He had some problem in his right hip for which he was admitted to the district hospital. Orthopedic specialist Dr. Vaibhav Singh saw him and suggested an operation to treat his hip. For this, the patient was admitted to the district hospital of the medical college for two days. Meanwhile, Doctor Vaibhav Singh demanded one and a half lakh rupees for the operation. When the patient’s family said they were unable to pay such a huge amount, the doctor agreed to reduce the amount to Rs 85,000 and perform the operation. The patient’s family and some social organizations complained to the principal of the medical college, Dr. Anand Mishra, about all these matters.
Social service organizations raised their voice
Ajay Kumar Srivastav of a social service organization said that the woman belonged to a very poor family and when her family came to know about this, they complained in writing to the principal of the medical college. He also said that the plate required in the operation is available in the market for 10 to 20,000 rupees, but for this Dr. Ortho Specialist of the Medical College. Vaibhav Singh demanded Rs 1.5 lakh, which was much higher. That is wrong.
What did the principal of the medical college say?
Dr. Anand Mishra, principal of the medical college, said that he had received such a complaint on Thursday. For this, they have formed an inquiry committee and whatever report the committee gives in this matter, further action will be taken according to the report. Meanwhile, he also said that whatever treatment is available in the medical college is free. However, the government has fixed a fee of ₹400 for the operation, which the patient’s family has to pay. Apart from this, the patient’s family has to buy whatever surgical items are required for the hip operation.
