According to police sources, the youth, a resident of Kushinagar’s Hata Bazar area, came to the Vinod forest located in the Kusami forest along with his lady friend on Thursday. Meanwhile, three people on a bike approached him and started asking him questions, claiming to be the police. Pressuring him, he said you guys have come here to do wrong and are spoiling the environment, pay Rs 50,000 immediately, otherwise both of you will be booked and arrested. The youth and his lady friend were asked to leave, but they started showing fake police ID cards.

The criminals searched the youth and removed Rs 5000 from his pocket. After checking his account, he got 4500 rupees transferred to his account through UPI. When the aggrieved couple reached the AIIMS police station and reported the matter, the Uri police immediately took action and reached the spot. Meanwhile, Rajnish Tripathi, who lives in Ramnath Colony of Deoria, was arrested. While the rest ran away. On questioning, it was revealed that the leaders of this gang are Dayashankar alias Devendra Nishad, a resident of Raji and Abhishek Rajbhar of Kusanhi. When their location was found in Rajahi village, police reached to raid.

The police surrounded him causing him to lose his balance and fall. Meanwhile both of them started shouting that police are taking me forcibly. Meanwhile, hearing his voice, a total of 50 women and men of the village along with their family members surrounded the police team with sticks, sticks, axes etc. in their hands. Meanwhile the two history sheeters started trying to free themselves from the police so that they could escape. In this sequence, Dayashankar attacked Inspector Akhilesh Arun with a knife, but he escaped. Abhishek also tried to escape but the police bravely pushed back the attacking mob and arrested a total of four people, including Dayashankar’s son Rajveer and Razi Ke Samal, apart from the two history-sheeters.

Police registered a case

In this regard, CO Cantt Anshika Verma said that gang leader Dayashankar and his associate Abhishek Rajbhar are both history sheeters of Khorabar police station. Dayashankar created a fake ID card of a police sub-inspector in the name of Rajveer Singh. It had his photo on it. His address on the card is written as Ujiyar, Police Station Narhi Village, Ballia District, with his year of birth 1985. These people used to carry out similar events. A case has been registered yesterday against 45 known and unknown accused along with four arrested accused under various sections including attempt to murder, obstruction of government work, sedition, assault etc. A police team has been formed to nab all the accused. All will be arrested soon.
