UP: Female teacher went to meet mother-in-law and father-in-law, thieves broke the lock and stole 50 lakhs

An incident has come to light in the Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh which has shaken the entire district. In just 13 minutes, two cunning thieves stole Rs.50 lakh and escaped. The incident took place in Sadar Kotwali area where a lady teacher lived with her two children. The teacher went to her other house to meet her in-laws. Due to which the house was deserted at night, the thieves took advantage of this opportunity to escape. The thieves fled the house with gold and silver jewelery and lakhs of cash. The incident of theft has been captured in the CCTV installed in the house.

According to information, this entire case is from Nasarapur Mohalla near Pal Chowkdi in Sadar Kotwali area. Here teacher Priya Awasthi went to the village house Gandharpur along with her two children on Saturday morning to meet her mother-in-law and father-in-law. Taking advantage of this, two unknown thieves entered their house late at night. Thieves broke into the house in just 13 minutes and broke the locks of the cupboard and stole 1 lakh 80 thousand cash and valuable jewellery. The CCTV camera installed outside the house shows two thieves entering the house.

When the lady teacher’s father-in-law reached home on Saturday morning, he was shocked to find the lock of the main gate broken. He hurriedly entered the house and saw that all the things kept in the house were scattered. He reported the theft to the household members. Priya has filed a complaint against the thieves at the police station. The police reached the spot and started investigation. The victim woman teacher said that her husband is posted in CRPF in Delhi. She lives here with her children. She went to meet her mother-in-law and father-in-law at her home. After this I came in the morning and found that the lock was broken.

The woman said that the incident took place between 11.15 to 11:30 pm. The house where the theft took place is just 300 meters away from the police station. After such a big theft, there is a feeling of fear among the people living in this area. Kannauj Kotwali in-charge Digvijay Singh says that the matter is being investigated, the incident will come to light as soon as possible.
