Amethi city has been shaken by 4 murders in 24 hours

Crime is becoming a major challenge for the police in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. The news of the fourth murder in 24 hours has come to light in Amethi. A youth who had gone to the market near Thawara village was beaten up by goons over a trivial matter and died on reaching the hospital. There is a lot of tension in the village after the incident. In view of the tension, a heavy police presence has been arranged in the village.

Ajay Singh, a resident of Kadar village in Amethi, was on his way home from the market at around 10 pm yesterday. On the way, some youths were drinking alcohol near Thawara village. Meanwhile, the accused stopped the youth and then they started arguing over some issue. In the same scuffle, the miscreants beat the youth with sticks, bricks and stones and fled from the spot. After this the family members reached the information and took the injured Ajay to the hospital but he died there.

Four incidents in 24 hours

Shockingly, this is the fourth murder incident in Amethi in the last 24 hours. Four murders in 24 hours have raised questions over police action. The first killing took place inside the Jamo Police Station area yesterday, where an elderly woman who was sleeping at home was hacked to death. The reason for the murder was that the accused had borrowed money from an old woman. When the old woman demanded the money back, the miscreants beat her up.

Even after 36 hours, the police are empty-handed

Another case is from Bhale Sultan Shaheed Memorial Police Station area where an old man was beaten up in a land dispute. The third case is from Badgaon in Sangrampur police station area, where a girl left home to go to the bank, while being raped, she was shot dead and her body dumped in the forest. After the body was found, the entire incident was revealed in the postmortem report. About 36 hours have passed since the incident but still the police are empty handed. Currently, cases have been registered in all the cases but no arrests have been made.
