Students complaining to MLA Kailash Kushwaha.
The students living in the hostel of Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh are going through torture. The warden here collects water for the students to bathe. Clothes are washed with them. When female students feel hungry, they are given rotten fruits. This came to light when the local MLA suddenly arrived to inspect the hostel.
The students expressed their pain to the MLA through tears. The students said they were given spoiled breakfast and were beaten and force-fed when they refused to eat. Even the MLAs were stunned to hear their complaints. He saw the situation there with his own eyes. He himself said that this is more of a prison than a hostel, where children are tortured in the name of education.
On Friday, local MLA Kailash Kushwah reached Satanwada in Pahari assembly constituency of Shivpuri district to inspect the Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ Hostel. He saw the situation there. Interviewed the students and inquired about their problems. When the students wanted to say something, the staff present there tried to intimidate them by showing them their eyes. When MLA Kailash Kushwaha saw this, he removed the staff from there. He then asked the students to share their problems fearlessly.
The victimized girl students told the MLA that they are made to fill drinking and bathing water in the hostel. Apart from this, the cleaning and mopping of the hostel is also done by them. The students even told the MLA that they are also made to wash clothes. He openly admitted that the head mistress of the hostel never stays in the hostel. He gives them rotten fruits to eat. Some students even said that the poha served to them for breakfast contained cobwebs and insects. This breakfast is force fed to them. Some of the students also told the MLA about the attack on them in the hostel.
