Pandit Gopal Krishna Maharaj has made a distinct identity for himself through Srimad Bhagavata Katha, Shiva Mahapurana and other religious programs in Damdama, the religious town of Ujjain. By narrating Bhagwat Katha in Ujjain as well as in other cities of the state, Maharajji was gradually engrossed in the devotion of God, but on the day of Guru Purnima, during the devotion of God, suddenly Bhagavatacharya Pandit Gopal Krishna Maharaj received the last call from God. . This call of God came so secretly that no one understood anything.
Maharajji was singing the bhajan of Radha Rani full of melodious essence during the Bhagavata Katha when he suddenly suffered a heart attack and sacrificed his life on Vyasa’s throne. Everyone was shocked after he sacrificed his life. Maharajji died engrossed in worship and devotion to God. Devotees of God became dear to God by singing Bhagwat Bhajan.

Damdama resident Pandit Gopal Krishna Maharaj went to his Guruji’s Samadhi site in Rajgarh to recite Srimad Bhagwat Katha. Srimad Bhagwat Katha was organized by Anjana Samaj and Sri Sadguru Seva Samiti. Pandit Gopal Krishna Maharaj was narrating the story of God to the devotees. During Srimad Bhagwat Katha, Maharaj Ji died while Maharaj Ji was explaining to the devotees by saying “Karat karat adhyaya se jadmati hota sujan” that through practice, any task, no matter how difficult, can be accomplished, one day it It will definitely be easier for us.
After these teachings, Maharajji served the devotees with sweet juice and sang bhajans of Radha Rani. On this, the devotees started dancing, engrossed in devotion. When Maharajji was singing this hymn, the devotees were also engrossed in the devotion of God. But then suddenly Maharajji stopped speaking while singing bhajan. Suddenly fell into unconsciousness. Devotees watching Srimad Bhagwat Katha immediately rushed to Panditji and took him down from Vyas Gadi and immediately took him to the hospital. Doctors said that his death was due to a heart attack.
The last rites took place in Ujjain
Pandit Gopal Krishna Maharaj died of a heart attack at Guruji’s samadhi place i.e. Rajgarh. His residence Damdama was brought to Ujjain. His last journey took him across the city to Chakratirtha. He was cremated. A large number of followers of Maharaj Shri participated in this final yatra, who paid tribute to Maharaj Ji.
