First Monday of Sawan at Mahakal’s court

Shravan month has started today from Monday. Today, Baba Mahakal appeared to the devotees one and a half hours before the daily time in the world famous Sri Mahakaleshwar temple. Here today, first of all, the silver doors were opened with the permission of Veerbhadra and then a special puja of Baba Mahakal and Bhasma Aarti were also performed.

Pandit Ashish, the priest of Sri Mahakaleshwar temple, said that in the world famous Sri Mahakaleshwar temple today Pratipada of Shravan Krishna Paksha and Bhasma Aarti was performed at 2.30 am on the day of Maha Sanyoga on Monday. Meanwhile, the Pandey priests worshiped the idols of all the deities installed in the sanctum sanctorum as soon as the temple doors were opened after taking Veerbhadraji’s permission.

Jalabhishek was performed

Jalabhishekam of Lord Mahakala was done with milk, curd, ghee, sugar, panchamrut and fruit juice. After this, water was offered to Hari Om by ringing the first bell. During this time, priests and priestesses perform special beautification of Baba Mahakal and after the Kapoor Aarti, Baba Mahakal is presented with a new tiara and head garland. After which ashes were offered to Lord Mahakala on behalf of Mahanirvani Akhara. Meanwhile, thousands of devotees took advantage of the divine vision of Baba Mahakal. Due to which the entire temple premises resounded with the sound of Jai Shri Mahakal.

Baba Mahakal was worshiped today on the first Monday of the month of Sawan. Not only the Bhasma Aarti, a special Maha Aarti was also performed and prayers were offered to Baba Mahakal for the happiness and prosperity of the nation. Pandit Ashish Guru, priest of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple said that a rare coincidence has come today in the month of Shravan. While this month is starting from Monday.

Thousands of devotees had arrived

Every day only 1800 devotees can have darshan of Baba Mahakal’s Bhasma Aarti. But during the month of Savan, mobile bhasma aarti has also been arranged in the temple so that the devotees coming from home and abroad can have darshan of Baba Mahakal’s bhasma aarti. For this reason, arrangements have been made that devotees can sit in the Nandi Hall and Ganesh Mandap to watch the Lord’s Bhasma Aarti this morning and watch the moving Bhasma Aarti from the Kartik Mandap. This special arrangement was made by Sri Mahakaleshwar Management Committee. Which thousands of devotees took advantage of. After seeing Bhasma Aarti, the devotees chanted Jai Shri Mahakal, considering themselves blessed.

Long lines for darshan

A large number of devotees flocked to the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple to witness Baba Mahakal’s rotating bhasma aarti, who waited in long queues for their turn and also had a darshan of the rotating form of Baba Mahakal’s bhasma aarti.
