Ujjain: ‘Give me your mobile number, meet alone’… Employee told woman devotee in Baba Mahakal temple, complaint registered

A woman devotee who regularly visits the famous Baba Mahakal temple in the religious city of Ujjain has accused a temple employee of molestation. The aggrieved woman has made several serious allegations against the employee engaged in the temple’s darshan arrangement. The victim has lodged a complaint in this regard at the Baba Mahakal Police Station. After receiving the complaint, the police have started investigation against the accused employee. The victim also informed the temple management committee before filing a police complaint.

Aggrieved women devotees visit the temple every day to have darshan of Baba Mahakal. The woman alleges that an employee named Mukesh, stationed at the temple, is keeping an evil eye on her. The accused employee stopped the victim woman several times without doing any work. He asks the victim’s mobile number and asks her to come outside the temple and meet him. The victim, the female devotee, alleged that when she refused to listen to Mukesh, he started harassing her further. The accused employee stopped the victim several times without any reason and misbehaved with her.

A complaint was made to the temple management committee

The victimized woman devotee says that she has unwavering faith in Baba Mahakal. This is the reason why despite this kind of behavior he goes to see Baba Mahakal every day. The victim made a verbal complaint to the temple management committee regarding the act of employee Mukesh. The aggrieved woman alleged that the temple authorities did not take her complaint seriously. The aggrieved female devotee has filed a complaint at the Mahakal police station for action against Mukesh.

The employee complained to the police

The victim said that before filing the complaint at Mahakal Police Station, I had complained about this to the Sri Mahakaleshwar Management Committee on 9 May 2024. He also informed the officials about this complaint from time to time but despite the passage of one and a half months, the committee has not yet taken any action on it. When we inquired about this to Moolchand Junwal, Assistant Administrator of Sri Mahakaleshwar Mandir, he said that the matter is under our understanding. We have asked the female devotee to complain in writing and action will be taken soon.
