Ujjain’s Mahakal police station is busy solving a murder mystery, in which it is revealed that a grandson has killed his grandfather by crushing his head. The police are examining the FSL and the post-mortem report to solve the murder. At the same time, the police are also examining the CCTV cameras around the incident site, so that the accused can be nabbed at the earliest.
Mohanlal Sharma (64) ran a shop from his home near Ram Kar Dharamshala in Mahakal Police Station area for many years. On Friday afternoon, the police received information that Mohanlal Sharma had been murdered. After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and found a blood-soaked body of an old man lying in the kitchen. When the police visited the spot, they also found blood-stained beads there.
The deceased had a dispute with his grandchildren.
Mahakal police station in-charge Ajay Verma said an FSL team was immediately called to solve the murder case and Mohanlal’s body was sent to the district hospital for post-mortem. The station in-charge says that during the investigation, it came to know that the grandson of Mohanlal, who lives in Rajasthan, came to his house on Thursday night. There was a quarrel between Mohanlal and his grandsons over something.

After the murder, the killers fled with the jewelry
After an altercation in the night, the deceased’s grandson ran away from the spot. Also, the jewelry kept in the house is also missing. Police are looking for both grandsons after the murder. It is being told about the incident that Mohanlal had retired from the Municipal Corporation four years ago. He was employed as an employee in a municipal corporation. The deceased has been married twice out of which his first wife has died.
Both grandsons absconded after the murder
After the death of his first wife, he lived with a woman from Bhilwara for years in a house behind the Harsiddhi temple. He was alone at home at the time of the incident and his wife had gone to Bhilwara to celebrate Rakshabandhan. Perhaps, taking advantage of it, the accused have carried out this incident. In this case, the police have got clues that after killing grandfather Mohanlal, his grandson has fled to Nimbakheda in Rajasthan.
Although the police are yet to say anything on the matter, sources say that the Nimbahera police have arrested the killers along with the stolen jewellery. A team from Mahakal Police Station will soon bring these killers to Ujjain, where information will be gathered from the killers as to why they brutally killed their grandfather.
